AWFS Fair 2021

For AWFS 2021, Thermwood Corporation, an innovator in the design and manufacture of 3 and 5 Axis CNC Routers, is proud to demonstrate two systems. We’ll have our versatile and affordable CabinetShop 43 510-8 and our powerful Cut Ready Cut Center machining on site.

Cabinetshop 43

CabinetShop 43 510-8

We will be machining plastic sheets, signs, outdoor furniture and nested based applications on our CabinetShop 43 510-8 CNC Router. This machine features a 5'x10' base with a 5'x8' table, allowing it to offer 21 tooling positions with its automatic bar style tool changer. It also has an improved dual pipe dust collection system, programmable pop-up pins, auto tool length measurement and an automatic lubrication system. This configuration is also available as a 512-10, with a 10 foot table on a 12 foot base. Auto labeling and an unload rake system for nested based production are also available as an option.

Cut Ready Cut Center

Cut Ready Cut CenterThermwood will also be demonstrating the award-winning Cut Ready Cut Center. This powerful system helps you quickly and easily create most products a cabinet shop would want to make without a CNC programmer (cabinets, furniture, doors, drawers, moldings, stair stringers and much more). Just tell it what you want to make via a simple touch-screen interface, and it makes it. Or, you can operate it as a traditional CNC router.

Most people can operate it with little or no training or guidance. It is complete, fully contained with all the ancillary equipment smoothly integrated into a package that almost runs itself.

Check us out in Booth #1701

CabinetShop 43 510-8We'll be demonstrating live on both machines during the show, as well as operating an eCabinet Systems kiosk.  Our eCabinet Systems expert will be designing nested-based applications on the fly to send to the CabinetShop 43 to be machined.  In addition to our Cut Center live demonstrations, we will also have two Cut Ready kiosks, where you can explore the software and see just how easy it is to design most things a cabinet shop would want to make.

Please visit our booth (#1701) and speak to a Thermwood representative to learn more about these two powerful and affordable additions to any shop!

Cut Ready Cut Center at AWFS 2019The 2019 AWFS Show (July 17th-20th) promises to be an exciting opportunity to visit Las Vegas and see the very latest technology from Thermwood!  Like the award winning Thermwood CUT CENTER (make virtually anything a cabinet shop would want to make - with no programming) and the powerful and versatile MODEL 45 with a pod system (machining solid wood, plastic and aluminum).

This year, Thermwood is proud to demonstrate the award-winning CUT READY CUT CENTER (with Artie inside to help you quickly and easily create most products a cabinet shop would want to make without a CNC programmer).

You'll have the opportunity to see just how easy it is to run this powerful machine.  Just tell it what you want, and it makes it...it is that easy!

We'll be demonstrating live during the show, and you can be part of it by helping to operate the CUT CENTER.  Please visit our booth (#7425) and speak to a Thermwood representative to get your hands on this exciting machine!

CUT READY Series With Artie Inside

Artie is inside both the Cut Ready 43 and the Cut Center to help you easily make most products a cabinet shop would want to make with no programming!

Despite the cute name, Artie is actually a cutting edge, artificial intelligence engine inside the CUT READY control.

You tell him what you want and he creates a program to make it. These are not pre-programmed libraries. No part programs exist in the control until Artie creates them. This is nothing less than a bold next step in the evolution of the CNC router.

Artie is already capable of programming tens of millions of unique products and is constantly learning how to make and do more and more new things. Artie is easy enough that virtually anyone can work with him with little or no training.

Solid Wood Machining on the Thermwood MODEL 45

Thermwood Model 45 at AWFS 2019We will also be demonstrating solid wood, plastics and aluminum utilizing a pod system and a horizontal aggregate on the Thermwood MODEL 45.

The heavy-duty MODEL 45 is designed for a variety of functions including the machining of rotary operations when equipped with our optional C-Axis. This expands the capability of this already useful machine to include volutes, carvings, chair parts, stair components and much more.  The MODEL 45 is also equipped with smart-router technology that helps save labor and material, are easy to use and will make you a lot more money than ordinary routers.

See in operation at  AWFS 2019!

Combination Cabinets display at AWFS 2019Both the CUT CENTER and the MODEL 45 will be on display and cutting live at AWFS 2019 (Thermwood booth #7425).  We will also have several displays featuring the powerful new Combination Cabinets (this new tool allows you to easily create a large bank of connected cabinets with multiple sections).

Using Combination Cabinets can bring real savings to your production - Cut Ready Combination Cabinets can save you time, material and money!

Make plans to see this exciting new technology in person and attend AWFS 2019  (July 17th-20th) at the Las Vegas Convention Center - Las Vegas, NV or contact us at 800-533-6901 for more information.

In the video below, Thermwood VP of Marketing Jason Susnjara explains what we are showing at AWFS 2013 as well as smart-router technology:

Speed up Production Time with CabinetShop 43
This new option helps save time by automating the process of placing labels and off-loading finished material.  The automated system quickly places the labels and then machines the parts.  It next unloads the finished material to a sorting table.  This automatic and economical addition can greatly speed up nested based production time, and is available both on new machines and as a retrofit.

Solid Wood Machining on Thermwood Model 45
We will also be demonstrating solid wood machining utilizing the Nemi Pod Hi-Flow System on our Thermwood Model 45.  The heavy-duty Model 45 is designed for a variety of functions including the machining of rotary operations when equipped with our optional C-Axis.  This expands the capability of this already useful machine to include volutes, carvings, chair parts, stair components and much more.

Smart-router technology is...

Posted by Duane Marrett on Wed, Jul 24, 2013

Tags: Thermwood, Trade Shows, AWFS, CNC Router, smart-router

What exactly is a smart-router?

Just like a smart phone does more than make phone calls, a “smart-router” does more than route parts. The “more” in a smart-router saves material and labor and makes it really easy to use. A smart-router may cost more but is substantially more profitable, making it a much better overall investment.

Below is a video demonstrating some of the unique features of a Thermwood smart-router:

Smart-routers recover from broken tools without scrapping material

Smart-routers easily recover from a broken toolSmart-routers give you more

Just like a smart phone does more than make phone calls, a “smart-router” does more than route parts. The “more” in a smart-router saves material and labor and makes it really easy to use. A smart-router does cost more but is substantially more profitable, making it a much better overall investment.

Easily recover from a broken tool

One great feature of a smart-router is the ability to recover from a broken tool without scrapping the sheet you are cutting or restarting the job. This can save a lot of time, effort and money.

How it works

If a tool breaks, press the Pause button to stop the machine.  Then select the Replace Tool option on the control, and the smart-router drops off the tool holder and notifies you to replace the tool. The machine then picks up the new tool, automatically measures it, adjusts the program for the new tool length, recuts the path of the broken tool and continues with the job.
