Ever wondered what that optional High Tolerance Tool Length Sensor on a Thermwood CNC router does?

 

This nifty tool (spotted here on a Cabinetshop 43 512-10), can automatically measure both the length and diameter of your tools, and update the control system with the precise offset numbers.

 

No more fussing over exact placements! It automatically compensates for the new tool length/diameter, eliminating the need to precisely locate the cutter bit. It provides a highly accurate method of adjusting tool length/diameter for pocketing or profile edges.

We have all the popular hardware patterns within Cut Ready including Blum, Accuride, Grass, Hafele, and Salice. Not only does this speed up production, it also increases the accuracy and placement of the hardware itself. Simply select your preferences within the Settings menu, or change it on-the-fly when processing a job.

If you haven’t decided on hardware yet, you can turn the patterns off, or use Cut Ready’s Universal Patterns and get to cutting.

Finished Ends for Combination Cabinets

This part of the update completes the finished end options for frameless cabinets, which now adds a 2^nd option for exposed ends.  Instead of applying a door or panel, choose to make it a finished end!

Moldings Updates

As requested by our users, we’ve added the ability to save molding jobs much like you do with cabinets, drawers, doors, etc.

Shapes Updates

Also, as requested by users, we've added the ability to specify grain direction for your shapes.

Cut Ready’s Bath cabinets now have the option to combine into one larger combination cabinet.  We successfully introduced this feature several months ago for kitchens and are expanding it to include bath cabinets too.  As customers have found, there are many benefits with combination cabinets over the traditional single cabinet layouts.

Some Benefits:

• Less material & expendables (labels, tooling, etc.)
• Less parts to sort, assemble, edge band or potentially damage
• Increased cabinet space
• Better grain matching
• Easier to level/straighten one cabinet vs. multiple cabinets
• Reduced labor and overhead
• Increased profits

As you select options to make your bath cabinets, you will eventually be asked this question:

Note:  This is an unusually large update and will require time to download.  Continue using the system as you normally would while it is downloading. 

Shutting the machine down will not cause any harm.  The system will continue downloading when it is turned back on.

New Adjust Settings Layout

In this update, we have reorganized the Adjust Settings layout.  For example, all mobile accounts have been grouped into one area and a new Hardware Options section has been added.  We have also grouped Cutting and Air Assist options under the Operations button, while also adding a new user request option for Labeling.

Labeling Options

Now (within the Operations area), you will see some new labeling options that were requested by several users.  These allow you to print labels for All Parts, Off-Fall Only or choose to not print any labels at all.

Improvements/Fixes

We have also addressed a few issues:

• An issue finding a Drawer Front match for MDF Slab Doors was discovered and fixed.
• We have modified the cutting operation for a handful of Shaker Doors where a small amount of material was left in the corners.
