A powerful upcoming tool to the Cut Ready software will be on display at AWFS 2019 (July 17th-20th).  The new Combination Cabinets feature allows you to easily create a large bank of connected cabinets with multiple sections.

These combination cabinets can be created with or without face frames, and you can also customize each of the sections (width and style).  Choose from many different options for these sections from one or two doors, with/without drawers, false fronts, open sections, slotted areas for storage and much more.

Check out the video below to see this new feature in action.

Cut Ready By Thermwood

Cut Ready - The First CNC That Doesn't Need a Programmer!

Artie InsideCut Ready doesn’t need a programmer because there is already one inside the control. We call him “Artie”.

Despite the cute name, Artie is actually a cutting edge, artificial intelligence engine inside the Cut Ready control. You tell him what you want and he creates a program to make it.

Artie has actually been hiding out behind the scenes in the Cut Ready control this whole time, but he has never made an appearance until now. He is the first A.I. dedicated to making your manufacturing life easier to handle.  While he is a CNC programmer and designer at heart, he also watches over your shoulder to make sure everything goes smoothly and efficiently.

No programming is necessary with Artie on the job!

You tell him what you want and he creates a program to make it. Whether it is cabinets, doors, moldings or furniture, Artie will program it for you!

These are not pre-programmed libraries. No part programs exist in the control until Artie creates them.
He is already capable of programming tens of millions of unique products and is constantly learning how to make and do more and more new things.

Artie is easy enough that virtually anyone can work with him with little or no training.

Let Artie do the programming for you in Cut Ready

Cut Ready is currently available on two machines from Thermwood:

More Info on the Cut Center with Artie Inside

The Cut Center - requires neither a CNC programmer nor a trained machine operator. Artie moves beyond just programming to guide the operator through the entire production process real time. It is complete, fully contained with all the ancillary equipment smoothly integrated into a package that almost runs itself.  Pretty much anyone can run a Cut Center.

The Cut Ready 43 - is a lower-priced machine that doesn’t need a CNC programmer, but does require a trained and somewhat skilled machine operator.  With the Cut Ready 43 system, Artie offers help during the production process, but not quite to the extent that it does with a Cut Center.

The Cut Ready 43 is equipped with a 5 by 8 table, a 21-position tool changer and a high flow vacuum hold-down system (additional table sizes and options are available).

The Cut Ready 43 is intended to bring the magic of Artie to a lower-priced system. It features a full-sized vacuum table and, just like its big brother, doesn’t require a CNC programmer. Just like a Cut Center, it can help you quickly and easily create most products a cabinet shop would want to make without a CNC programmer (only operational training is required).

Since this is a CNC router at its core, you are free to program and operate it as a normal CNC router if you want, but the magic of Artie makes the Cut Ready 43 a whole new exciting experience!

The Thermwood Cut Center is equipped with a 5'x10' table, easy sheet flipper, vacuum cups and a host of other software and equipment.  It is all designed to help you save time and money, using an easy to operate and sophisticated combination of software and machinery that you can feel confident in.

We've taken the fear out of automation by combining our easy to use interface and years of experience in the industry to create a powerful tool that will allow you to focus more on your products, business, making money, and worry less about being intimidated by the technical details. It is complete, fully contained with all the ancillary equipment smoothly integrated into a package that almost runs itself.

The Cut Center is the ultimate in next generation CNC.

Your time is money, and the Cut Center helps you save more of both.

New For AWFS 2017

Experience the award winning Cut Ready Cut Center at the AWFS Show July 19th thru 22nd in Thermwood's booth #9200.  New for AWFS 2017 are "Single Pass MDF Doors" that offer a wide variety of door styles and profiles.

The Cut Ready Cut Center also includes a number of new control features making it even easier to use.  No programming--no learning CAD/CAM or CNC code--just tell it want you want to make, load the material, and let it make the parts for you!

Single Pass MDF Doors using Diamond Tools

(tooling may be purchased on www.thermwoodwebstore.com)

We now offer the ability to create single pass MDF doors using diamond tooling. This feature offers the following benefits:

  • Letting you create Single Pass Doors much faster versus Multi Pass Doors.
  • You can choose to leave the inside corners as a radius, or have Cut Ready clean them out automatically.

Choosing Muti-Pass or Single Pass Doors in the Cut Center is easy

Cut Center Now Monitors Tooling Used During CNC Access

We've also made the Cut Center even more accident-proof.   It now monitors any tooling changes made while in CNC Access.  If you forget to change a tool back or if you changed something in the tool table, the Cut Center will automatically verify those tools prior to cutting.

In the video below, Thermwood VP of Marketing Jason Susnjara explains what we are showing at AWFS 2013 as well as smart-router technology:

Speed up Production Time with CabinetShop 43
This new option helps save time by automating the process of placing labels and off-loading finished material.  The automated system quickly places the labels and then machines the parts.  It next unloads the finished material to a sorting table.  This automatic and economical addition can greatly speed up nested based production time, and is available both on new machines and as a retrofit.

Smart-router technology is...

Posted by Duane Marrett on Wed, Jul 24, 2013

Tags: Thermwood, Trade Shows, AWFS, CNC Router, smart-router

What exactly is a smart-router?

Just like a smart phone does more than make phone calls, a “smart-router” does more than route parts. The “more” in a smart-router saves material and labor and makes it really easy to use. A smart-router may cost more but is substantially more profitable, making it a much better overall investment.

Below is a video demonstrating some of the unique features of a Thermwood smart-router:

Smart-routers recover from broken tools without scrapping material

Smart-routers easily recover from a broken toolSmart-routers give you more

Just like a smart phone does more than make phone calls, a “smart-router” does more than route parts. The “more” in a smart-router saves material and labor and makes it really easy to use. A smart-router does cost more but is substantially more profitable, making it a much better overall investment.

Easily recover from a broken tool

One great feature of a smart-router is the ability to recover from a broken tool without scrapping the sheet you are cutting or restarting the job. This can save a lot of time, effort and money.

How it works

If a tool breaks, press the Pause button to stop the machine.  Then select the Replace Tool option on the control, and the smart-router drops off the tool holder and notifies you to replace the tool. The machine then picks up the new tool, automatically measures it, adjusts the program for the new tool length, recuts the path of the broken tool and continues with the job.
