Included in this update is the addition of Artie, a new Outdoor Cabinets Library, Publisher improvements and the addition of Lock Dowels.

Update adds Artie

This latest update adds Artie to your Cut Center!

Artie has actually been hiding out behind the scenes in the Cut Ready control this whole time, but he has never made an appearance until now. He is the first A.I. dedicated to making your manufacturing life easier to handle, and with this latest update, we flipped on his switch!  While he is a CNC programmer and designer at heart, he also watches over your shoulder to make sure everything goes smoothly and efficiently.

You tell him what you want and he creates a program to make it. Be it cabinets, doors, moldings or furniture, Artie will program it for you!

These are not pre-programmed libraries. No part programs exist in the control until Artie creates them.  He is already capable of programming tens of millions of unique products and is constantly learning how to make and do more and more new things. Artie is easy enough that virtually anyone can work with him with little or no training. For more on Artie, click here.

New Material Definitions

This update also includes some new material definitions for Artie.  We've given him all the information he needs to know about plastic.  You can now machine anything out of plastic with the knowledge that Artie will program the machine correctly.  Why plastic?...we've also given Artie definitions for another line of cabinets for outdoor use...more info below:

Outdoor Cabinet Library

Specifically designed to withstand the elements, these outdoor cabinets can handle the extreme heat out west, or the salty weather on the coast.  Since they are made from Starboard material, they will last for many years (they are sun-proof, water-proof, and rust-proof), and add style to outdoor living with little to no maintenance.  They also use Cut Ready’s “Slot Slide” technique for drawer boxes.

While this collection includes typical kitchen cabinet designs, we’ve also added specialty items like countertop cabinets, carts, storage cabinets, cutting boards and cabinets to house a grill…just to name a few.

Publisher Updates

The Publisher allows eCabinet users to publish their own designs into Cut Ready.  With this latest update, you can either cut the Doors & Drawer Boxes exactly how you designed them, or choose from the stock Cut Ready versions...and there's a lot to choose from!  Just tell Artie which version of Drawer Boxes or Doors for your design, and let him take it from there!

Lock Dowel Cabinet Construction

We are working to keep up with the increase in different cabinet fasteners available in the industry today, and are constantly adding them to Artie's cabinet definitions.  This latest one added is called the Lock Dowel.  For more details on this method, please click here.

Latest Update Summary

Thermwood Cut Center Update

We are constantly adding new features and abilities to the Award-Winning Cut Ready Cut Center.

Included in this update are suggestions/recommendations from current users, along with several updates features.

Resize Width/Depth on Corner Cabinets

We now offer the ability to resize the width and depth of Corner Cabinets.  This works for both the Cut Center's standard Frameless and Face Frame cabinets.  When you enter in different values, the software will show you the front opening dimensions.

Thermwood Cut Center now adds the ability to resize corner cabinets

Thermwood Cut Center now adds the ability to resize corner cabinets

Now Turn Air Assist On/Off

Air Assist helps with locating sheets of plywood onto the table by creating a “pillow” of air underneath the material (this works very much like an air hockey table).  However, this requires a vast amount of air, which could potentially affect other machinery in your factory.  We’ve added the ability to turn this Cut Center feature Off if needed.

Thermwood Cut Center now adds the ability to turn air assist on or off manually

New Run Screen Interface

We have also redesigned the Run Screen which gives Cut Ready a sleek, cleaner look while running your jobs.
Bonus:  We’ve also added more information to this screen such as:

  • Total Job Time
  • Current Sheet Time (a widely user-requested feature)
Thermwood Cut Center now adds a more informative run screen interface

Save Shapes Jobs

Another user request is the ability to save "Shapes" jobs.  Prior to this update, there was no way to re-run a previously entered "Shape" job.  We've now added this ability.

Thermwood Cut Center now adds the ability to save Shapes jobs

Manually Check for Updates

Much like your smartphone, Cut Ready always notifies you when there is an update available (free for the life of the machine.)  Updates usually include new/better functionality and additional content for you to make.  Cut Ready automatically checks for updates approximately every six hours, and now you can manually check yourself whenever you want - from the About section.

Thermwood Cut Center now adds the ability to manually check for updates

Boxes Added to Cut Ready Library

Of all the things Cut Ready offers, we missed a simple one.  Boxes.  Offered in a variety of construction methods, we now offer boxes, stackable boxes, boxes with handles, cubes, vertical or horizontal grain, etc. for you to make.
Thermwood Cut Center now adds a variety of boxes to the Cut Ready library

Patches/Fixes

Thermwood Cut Center Patches/FixesCertain circumstances can cause ANY software to malfunction.  In addition to adding more benefits to you, we also try to identify any issues and address them asap.  Below are the latest patches/fixes with this update:

  • Fixed - Blind Dado Undermount Drawer Boxes were calculating the back capture hole incorrectly when choosing them from the “For Something Else” selection.
  • Fixed – When using Off-Fall for a Job, the Sheets page displayed an incorrect number of Off-Fall / Added Sheets.

Suggestions Wanted

Do you have a great design idea? Want to see something added to Cut Ready? Let us know! We are always looking to improve the functionality and ease of Cut Ready, so we appreciate all user feedback.

Thermwood Cut Center Updated Features!

Latest Update Summary

We are constantly adding new features and abilities to the Award-Winning Cut Ready Cut Center.  Our latest update now gives you:

  • The ability to create stair stringers and free-standing stairs
  • Merge materials for a more efficient nest
  • Specify whether your material is sheet stock or board stock (with a whole host of options for each type)
  • Add sheets as off-fall even if they weren't created from the Cut Center
  • Resize the height on face frame base cabinets (while maintaining proper drawer front heights).

Stair Stringers

The Cut Center now has the ability to create Stair Stringers, and free-standing stairs.

Stair Stringers are now available in the Thermwood Cut Center

Stair Stringers are now available in the Thermwood Cut Center

Stair Stringers are now available in the Thermwood Cut Center

Merge Materials

This ability originated with the stair stringers development (you can nest treads, risers or stringers out of the same material, providing a more efficient nest), and this solution was so useful that it was implemented throughtout the entire system.

You may now merge materials to nest treads, risers or stringers out of the same material.

You may now merge materials to nest treads, risers or stringers out of the same material.

New Material Properties

We’ve updated the materials page to allow the user to specify whether their material is Sheet Stock or Board Stock (which affects direction of cut, feed speeds, and cut depths).  This allows you to make Solid Wood Drawer Boxes.

You can also specify if your material has identical sides (such as premium plywood), or if they are different (such as melamine that has 2 colors).  In the melamine scenario, the Cut Center will maintain all of one color to the inside of the cabinets.

For users who do not use material with grain (melamine, mdf, etc.), you can now turn grain off, resulting in a more efficient nest.

You may now speicfy whether your material is sheet stock or board stock.

Add Off-Fall Sheets not created in Cut Ready

Prior to this update, you could only add off-fall created from previous jobs by using a barcode and scanner.  This update allows you to add rectangular off-fall that was not created from the Cut Ready system, and use it just like you would regular off-fall.

You may now add rectangular off-fall that was not created through Cut Ready to your job.

Resize the Height on Frace Frame Base Cabinets

We now allow users to change the height of Face Frame Base Cabinets while maintaining proper Drawer Front Heights.

You can now change the height of farce frame base cabinets while maintaining proper drawer front heights.
